Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced artist looking to refresh your practice, this session offers the perfect space to experiment with a range of materials and techniques. You’ll explore layering, texture, and composition using paint, ink, collage, and more—guided by a professional artist in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Age 16+

Materials to Bring:

• Starting Point Image: Bring an image to work from—this could be a photo or reference with a bold, simple structure. Avoid images with tight or intricate detail.

• Selection of Media: Bring a variety of materials such as paints, collage elements, and textured materials to explore layering and surface techniques.

• Surface to Work On: Mixed media paper or canvas—your choice, depending on your preference.

• Brushes: A range of both bristle and soft brushes to give you flexibility with texture and mark-making.

• Palette Knives: A few palette knives for applying paint and texture in a more expressive, sculptural way.
